Double-glazed window

Winter in West Europe is bitterly colder than most part of Japan, but inside house it is other way round: warmer in Europe! The simple reason behind is difference in adoption of double-blazed window. Besides Hokkaido, such type of window is hardly used even in apartments. F


It may be reflecting historical difference in concept of building a house, not so much concerned about airtightness for thousands of years. But the quality of airtightness of window remained “poor” even up to 2025.


But now, I think room temperature should be comfortably warmer during winter, and there is disparate need to seek efficient heating at home to reduce CO2 emission. More double-glazed window in Japan!
