Dogs

According to statistics in 2023, there are 6.9million dogs in Japan, almost comparable to total population of adolescents under age 5 (f 7.2milion). Because of sharp fall of number of new born baby, our society will consist of more dogs than young kids in the near future.

However, what I saw in European countries especially in Germany, dogs are living more closer to humans; they go shopping together, have lunch and dinner together, and get on board on bus and train together. If Japanese wants their companion to be true member of family and society, I think they need to be more harshly trained. Once the society acknowledges that dogs are well disciplined, then they will be welcomed to join visit to restaurants together.
