Unforgettable Incident---911 United We Stand

A horrible memory that I can never ever forget throughout my expatriate period in US is the simultaneous terrorist attack.

On that day, I was in Minneapolis in the Midwest, and when I finished my breakfast I found many people were glued with large projection TV in the lobby followed by unbelievable scene.. I witnessed the whole thing, and at first I thought it was just an accident, but when I saw the second aircraft crashing into the building I was fully convinced that this was no doubt the terrorism. Having seen that, I couldn’t do anything but halt while the American staff took immediate action to secure rent-a-car purely because of their love to their families even if they drive sleepless thousands of miles. If this action was 30 minutes behind, we couldn’t have made it(as all the rent-a-cars were sold out).”

After that, we kept driving up about 2,000 KM all the way to NY, and we saw "United We Stand ..." everywhere en-route. Until then I had an impression that this country tends to been more of a “individualism” but this has totally changed my view. In light of the recent unstable world situation, I wish a peaceful world would come again. God Bless!!
